Gjekk rett på trikken utanfor togstasjonen, då vi kom til Firenze. Gjekk av 6,7 stopp seinare, og spaserte nokre hundre meter til Residence Leopoldo. Då vi skulle heim frå flyplassen, tok vi same trikken. Skifta til den andre trikken utanfor jernbanestasjonen, og var på flyplassen 45 minuttar etter at vi gjekk ut dørene på Leopoldo. Pris: 1,5 Euro per person. Leiligheten var fresh og ny. Heilt suverent. Også eit stort pluss med ein svært flott og moderne Coop-butikk rett i nærleiken.

Palazzo Gamba is located right in front of Florence's Cathedral. It offers uniquely designed apartments with air conditioning and fully equipped kitchenette. The location of the apartment was at the epicentre of Florence. We couldn't have been any more central. It became a bit of a joke that pretty much everywhere we wanted to go was between a one and a fifteen minute walk away. There was an amazing view of the piazza in front of the duomo from our windows. It was wonderful to drink a cup of tea and watch the goings on below. The apartment was large with two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a spacious living/kitchen area with a gorgeous frescoed ceiling. It was spotlessly clean, the beds were comfortable and the showers were great. I have arthritic knees and the apartment was on the fifth floor, but there was a perfectly cute elevator to waft us upwards.
